"the muslim shower"

**warning-read no further if you are easily grossed out. you have been warned**

I will preface this by saying that "muslim shower" is actually the most politically incorrect phrase. I will also say that I learned it from Lana, who learned it from her muslim friend...

So the muslim shower actually has very little to do with showering and more to do with the shower hose in the bathroom not attached to the shower. In this case a picture is worth a thousand words. I will have to take a picture and post it so that you can see what I am talking about.

So there are somethings in the western world that you don't give a second thought to, you totally take them for granted, like toilet paper. Yes, toilet paper. It's not so much the presence or absence of toilet paper that presented a problem but rather what you do with the toilet paper after you having finished doing your business.

Fortunately we have Sabrina as our guide to help us navigate the Asia sub-continent otherwise we would not have known that we were not supposed to flush the toilet paper in the toilet. Evidently this clogs up the pipes. Hmmmmm. So what are we supposed to do with the toilet paper? Turns out we are supposed to throw it in the unsealed trash can next to the loo. Hmmm. Okaaaaaaay. Apparently this is a common practice in Asia. So I am thinking what you might be thinking, "that might not be sooo bad when you only have to do the number one but what happens after you have to do the number two?" Three women..lots of spicy food...I am seeing a very smelly situation about to happen in the near future. That is when I learned about "the muslim shower"

Whereas in the western world we use toilet paper to take care of "the dirty business" in India toilet paper is merely for drying after the "muslim shower" does all the hard work. That shower hose about a couple of feet away from the toilet, well I finally learned what it is for! LOL!
